ABOUT

The grandson of a Jamaican immigrant, a native to a small city just south of Philadelphia, and a Master of Fine Arts graduate of the American Film Institute, Davis continues to carve a lane all his own. His unique authorship echoes a life of diverse experiences domestic and abroad. Having earned professional experience as an Assistant to the Director of Amazon MGM Studio’s, CANDY CANE LANE, he has directed branded content for major brands such as Infiniti USA, Toyota, and Target. Davis’ more personal, narrative work specifically captures his voice, style, and perspective, painting a unique authorship for himself through cinema. Garnering premieres at various film festivals, such as AFI Fest, Black Harvest Film Festival, and the Oberhausen Film Festivals for his short films COLORS OF SOLACE, THE SECRET, and SATELLITE FLIGHT.

When Davis is not developing his next feature film… You can find him enjoying a latte at a local café, strolling the city with his still camera, traveling, enjoying an art exhibit, spending time with friends, writing, and consistently ruminating on ways to elevate cinematic depictions of black life, young and old, simply to create more space for fresh stories to be told.
